Ethical Policy

Responsible travel

With growing concerns about the world around us people are becoming more aware of their surroundings and the effects that we humans have on our direct and indirect environment. Adventure yogi strives to educate people about caring for their impact on their locality and beyond. This is not force fed but we believe that every little helps and we can all play a part to some extent even in a ski resort or on a beach.

Go by train or bus

We encourage people to get the train or bus wherever possible with the incentive of a free holistic treatment for their great efforts. Chamonix is becoming easier and easier to get to now the St. Pancras fast train to Geneva is established. It is only a matter of time until they start to make payment for train fares work the same as cheap flights and the more we support them the quicker this will happen. Even getting to Sardinia or Morocco by train is a possibility, just remember that slow travel is much more fun than flying, experiencing the different landscapes and cultures that are always forgotten about from a plane. Overland travel has gone full circle and become once more a novel way to travel, yet so accomplishing once you get to your destination. Surely it’s a great idea to start the holiday off at a slow pace to get you in the mood after escaping the full speed hecticness of your working/home life?

Recycling

We recycle everything we use within the chalet and villas and also when we are on the mountain and by the sea.

Project support

We are endeavouring to find projects in Chamonix, Morocco and Sardinia that we can support by donation of 3% of each one of your bookings. Once established, you will be able to look on this website at the progress they are making and when you become one of our regulars which you surely will you will be able to visit these projects and get first hand experience of the work they are doing. Watch this space!

Organic and Local Food

We love healthy eating and we feel the benefits from it everyday, especially when we slip up at special occasions and over-indulge (yes we are all prone to doing that sometimes!). More than that we think that healthy eating can foster a healthy local economy and a healthy planet too! Meals we provide will use locally sourced and organic produce where possible.
