Diving and yoga courses outline
The yoga diving course combines techniques of hatha yoga, asanas, pranayama & meditation with scuba and apnea (breath-hold) diving in a beautiful, natural environment. This approach brings us to incredible close encounters with nature & helps us feel stillness, relaxation & altered states of consciousness. For all, yoga and diving removes stress and encourages a freedom from thought. Diving helps you to experience breath and movement underwater as a form of meditation. When taught together, diving and yoga can open you up to different worlds, both inner & outer.
Wake up to an energising morning yoga class, followed by a delicious breakfast, the day is then yours for diving or snorkeling or relaxing on the beach. Depending on which DiveYogi holiday you choose lunch is also included. Before a well-earned dinner return for your evening yoga and meditation class to stretch and relax.
This yoga holiday brings you the possibility of an array of experiences with yoga, meditation, snorkeling the reef and scuba diving, sunbathing, massage and exploring your beautiful surroundings.
All levels are welcome from beginner to advanced. We have highly experienced teachers who can adapt to your individual ability. Whether it be Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin or others, all classes cover pranayama, asanas and meditation to help increase oxygen flow, balance, clarity and a peaceful mind.
We have teamed up with first class dive schools with the best reputations, to deliver fantastic dive experiences. They provide great classes, equipment and safety measures.
The destinations we have chosen all offer a spectacular adventure for divers with an opportunity of swimming with an array of fascinating marine life.
Diving is at an extra cost and can all be arranged for you.
Our DiveYogi holidays are either half board or full board. So there’s always a tasty breakfast and a delicious evening meal after your yoga classes, but you will need to check the specific venue page for what each holiday includes. The food is of exceptional quality using fresh local produce, and lots of healthy options.
Each venue is selected carefully with comfort, tranquility and proximity to the beach in mind. From boutique hotels to traditional lodges and Colonial Guest Houses to Royal tents on the beach, our accommodation varies at each venue to suit different budgets. They all offer unique character, a relaxed ambience, and beautiful surroundings for you to relax and unwind.

These are available to book at an extra cost and the options will vary at each venue.
8.00 am – 9.30 am: Morning yoga class
9.30 am -10.30 am: Breakfast
10.30am – 5pm:The day is then free for you to dive or sunbathe or explore the local area
(Lunch may be included depending on the venue)
5.00pm – 6.30 pm: Evening yoga and meditation class
7.00pm – 8.00pm: Evening meal

Extra information on the benefits of yoga and diving
Yoga: means a unification (yoke) of body, mind, spirit

The Fusion: a way to feel a state of no-mind, a letting go of the mind and self, an experience of an altered state of consciousness through body and mind awareness
For a diver and free diver, the essential elements of yoga can significantly assist with your air consumption, as the breathing exercises fundamental in yoga are ideal for improving lung capacity and encouraging effective, steady breathing. Specific exercises can also help improve core stability of the lower back, which for a diver is of great benefit when carrying diving equipment. Core strength also helps with finning technique, stamina, general fitness and ultimately extending the length of time you are able to enjoy underwater.
