Advanced yoga retreats
We have been running our yoga retreats for over 7 years now and due to the success of them, we want to offer our regular yogi’s a chance to progress and grow with us. So we are proud to be introducing you to our AdvancedYogi yoga retreats.
These yoga retreats are suitable for people who have been practicing yoga for at least two years. You don’t have to be ‘Miss bendy’ or ‘Mr pretzel’ but you will benefit from these yoga weekends if you have a regular practice or have been practicing yoga on and off and have a grasp of it. Our teachers on these yoga retreats are very experienced and will teach a higher level of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy and support you going deeper into your practice with their guidance.
On each retreat, you will all be given the chance to chat to the yoga teacher about what you would like to get out of the weekend, so that the teacher is fully aware of your needs. Over the retreat we will offer you space to explore your meditation practice and immerse yourself in the more ‘still’ side of yoga – both physically and mentally. The teacher will follow a theme for the retreat and there will also be a philosophy lecture/discussion on the Saturday evening after dinner. This will be based on the theme of the weekend retreat.
Allow yourself this total immersion time. It will be the best antidote to your busy and stressful life.
The retreat is best for those who have been practicing regularly for 2 years or more. Our yoga teachers all been teaching for a considerable time and will be able to develop your practice with you.
Our food at AdventureYogi is as vital to us as our yoga. We have very talented chefs to bring you the most delicious and nutritious dishes to keep you energised and joyful. Breakfast is a wholesome choice of granola, yogurt, fruits and eggs. There’s a healthy light lunch in the afternoon and a vegetarian feast in the evening. All the food is vegetarian, fresh and seasonal. Our guests always comment on how imaginative and tasty our food is, and also how much better it makes them feel. The food on these retreats will be low in wheat, dairy, sugar and caffeine and you can opt out of these if you prefer to go for a detox, if not then these options are available.
We are lucky to have a range of venues around the UK. They are all special places to stay in tranquil surroundings amongst picturesque countryside. Each place has been chosen for their relaxing atmosphere, comfort, and individual character. There’s converted farmhouses, luxurious manor houses, cottages, eco pods and camping to name a few. They are all great places to have some time to yourself and get away from everyday life.
(Please note silence is to be observed from 8am – 1pm)
8:00am: Silent meditation walk in tranquil surrounding countryside
8:30-10am Morning yoga class
10am – 10.30am meditation class
10.30: Wholesome yogic breakfast
11am-1pm: Your own time to reflect and treatment time (time for own meditation practice)
1:00-3.00pm: There will be workshops that you can choose to join in with. More details closer to the time of the retreat
3.00pm: Healthy afternoon light lunch
4.00-6:00pm: More treatments or free time
6:00 – 7:30pm Evening yoga and meditation class
7.30pm – 8pm Yoga nidra
8 pm: Healthy vegetarian supper.
The activities are workshops on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons on yoga, meditation, pranayama or yoga philosophy. There will be an addional subsidized cost of £10pp for an indepth and profound workshop. If you need to stretch your legs there are lots of places to walk around the venue, just ask for directions or a map.
