About our yoga retreat West LexhamWest Lexham

We are proud to be offering our yoga retreat weekends at West Lexham Norfolk.  Originally a family home, the owners’ son has decided to convert the entire property into an eco education centre, to help re-invigorate the local area with jobs, a sense of community and locality and thus a new heart centre.  Having studied at CAT in Wales (Centre for Alternative technology) he is re-developing the estate to house accommodations of all types and budgets for conferences and workshops in sustainability, as well as creating an inspiring space for yoga retreats, farmers markets, fairs and camps of all types.

The venue is nestled in 21 acres of rolling Norfolk breckland, which gathers together for your pleasure; a meandering river, a swimming lake, lazy meadows, woodland, sculpted Victorian gardens, vegetable patches and a clutch of old heritage farm buildings on offer for you to come and stay in and enjoy.

Explore the landscaped gardens, river and lake; an abundance of activities awaits at each corner. There is ample time to take a dip in the pool, row on the lake, wander in the meadows and smell the honeysuckle, wrapped in birdsong. You might also like to knock about on the tennis court, or play croquet on the lawn.

Accommodation options and prices

West Lexham is for those who want something in between the ‘leave you alone’ style of a hotel or self-catering house, and the best of communal living.  Escape and stay in one of our cottages, or “glamp” it up in a sumptuously furnished bell tent, maybe try one of our unique Bedouin-style indoor camping dorms. Or bring your own tent and pitch it in a quiet grassy glade. The choice is entirely yours.  There are indoor bathrooms with shower in Pool house available to all guests.  There are also showers, wash-stand and toilets available for all campers and those in the Nook.

A great choice and something to suit everyone’s budget:

Arch Cottage: a heritage cowshed beautifully converted into accommodation, which offers three twin rooms with a shared kitchen and big bathroom. £395pp for 3 night stay

Hall Cottage: Cosy cottage with 3 twin/double rooms and shared bathroom and kitchen.    £395pp for 3 night stay

Pool house: Small single room £295pp for 3 night stay

Bell tents: For the camper who appreciates plenty of room and a touch of luxury, we have both 4m and 5m bell tents in soft woodland overlooking the lake and meadows.  Shower under the stars in the rustic outdoor bathrooms. Fall asleep to the gentle tumble of the river. £365pp for 3 night stay (3 people sharing 1 bell tent)

Bring your own tent: Got your own portable pad? You are more than welcome to stay in exchange for our equivalent of a corkage fee, which of course includes use of all facilities. £295pp for 3 night stay.
