WellBeing Yogi Norfolk
How to get to West Lexham
West Lexham is situated in Norfolk to the east of Kings Lynn. The nearest town is Swaffham, to the South. It is close to rail and coach stops, and we strongly recommend coming here by public transport rather than driving, as there are plenty of easy links. And once you have booked onto our retreat we will send you a welcome pack with exact travel info, esp if you are coming by car!
West Lexham Education Centre
Please support AdventureYogi and West Lexham to minimise our environmental impact by planning your journey using public transport or cycling if possible.
This option is to catch the train to Norwich or Kings Lynn, then catch a local bus, the X1 to Swaffham and from Swaffham jump in a taxi (taxi numbers are below) Timetables can be found here and change seasonally so check before you set off. Or bring your bike and cycle! It’s only a 5 minute drive from Swaffham
Recommended train times from London Kings Cross: We recommend that those traveling form London catch the following trains:
13.45 Departs London Kings Cross arrives Downham market 15.06
12.09 Departs Downham market arrives Kings Cross 13.35
If you catch these train times then it makes it much cheaper for you for the taxi as it is £30 from Downham Market to West Lexham. If you are arriving from other parts of the country please try and time your train for these recommended arrival and departures so we can group you in taxi’s this way too.

What to do in the local area
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area of West Lexham.
Walks: In summer or winter it is a treat to walk to Castle acre where there are the ruins of a medieval priory. The walk can take as long as you like from 1 hour to longer so enjoy an afternoon wandering in the Norfolk countryside.
Holkham Beach: Voted “best British Beach” it is the Queens favourite. Gwyneth Paltrow walked across the sandy beach in the film “shakespeare in Love.” A drive of 30 minutes away enjoy the sweeping landscapes of sea and coast.
