WellbeingYogi Somerset FAQs
We have 2 yoga retreat venues in Somerset so below are the faqs, the travel directions by car and train are the same.
Pennard House manor house
How to get there
By Car:
Pennard House is very close to Shepton Mallet and The Manor House, Wincanton. So it’s an easy and stunning two hour drive down the M3/A303 from London and from Bristol/Bath an hour down the A37. Once you have booked your place with us we will give you the exact address and post code.
Train:
From London its the Paddington – Castle Cary line. It takes 1hr45mins. Book early, as it can get expensive, but it is a comfy and fast service with no changes.
From Bristol/Bath it’s the Castle Cary line too. It takes just over an hour and is a quirky local service!
Recommended train times from London:
London Paddington departs 13.00 arrives Castle Cary 15.46 or 13.30 from Paddington arrives Castle Cary 16.04.
Castle Cary departs 17.37 arrives London Paddington 19.29. (2 day weekend returning Sunday)
Castle Cary departs 12.45 arrives 14.54 London Paddington (3 day weekends returning Monday)
Please book trains according to the start time of the weekend (4pm) and finish times (5pm Sunday on a 2 night and 12pm Monday on a 3 night) because before the start time or after the finish time the AdventureYogi team are busy tidying/preparing and won’t be able to look after you!
Once at Castle Cary we will have arranged a taxi for you and the retreat center’s are both only 15 minutes away and costs about £12-£20 depending on the day (bank holidays are more expensive). We try and group you together to make the taxi a lower cost for you.
Please note, please book your travel to arrive at the retreat on Friday after 4pm.

Our 3 night yoga retreats start from 4pm on the Friday and finish at 12pm on the Monday, with the daily schedule following the above all day Saturday and Sunday and the Monday following the morning schedule until after brunch and closing at 12pm. A 2 night yoga retreat is very relaxing and does offer time to switch off, however a 3 night yoga retreat really provides enough time to feel even more relaxed and like you have shed a few layers of stress, toxins and emotions, returning home feeling lighter in body and mind.
Massage/holistic treatments
A half an hour treatment is included in the price. If you would like to extend it to 1 hour it is £30 for the extra half an hour and a whole hour is £50. Please don’t feel restricted and have as many treatments as you like.
What to do in the local area
On these weekends you can do as much or as little as you like so simply relax at the retreat center or enjoy the guided walks. If you feel like being more active then both venues are close to Glastonbury town so enjoy a trip into the hippy mecca of England, supposedly the heart chakra of the world it attracts a very colorful crowd. Walk up the tour for a 360 degree view of the Somerset levels or get your tarot cards read!
