Optional Activities

Surfing
Surfing is the common staple sport of Cornwall. We partner up with personal friend Dominique Kent and can arrange classes (including wetsuit and board hire) at St Agnes, Porthtowan or Perrnanporth beaches.  Dominiquue is an internationally acclaimed surfer, and is an absolute delight.

Kayaking
Kayaking is also very popular in Cornwall.  On a 4hr tour  with Tom around the St. Agnes coast between Perranporth and Porthtowan, you can see an astounding array of wildlife, both in and out of the sea, including friendly seals and dolphins.  It’s a real adventure, great fun and not too strenuous.  Tom is a fantastic guide and instructor.  He runs tours from St Agnes or Frenchmans creek.

Horse Riding
If an afternoon hack is on the cards for those who are already fairly competent on a horse, then we can organise this for you in St. Agnes!

Archery
Archery is a fantastic sport and an afternoon session can be organised at the venue itself. Our partners will bring all the required equipment directly to the venue, and arrange an afternoon’s archery for whomever is interested!

Coasteering
If getting wet by swimming, jumping, and scrambling round rocks is your idea of a day out, then Coasteering is for you. Coasteering is a relatively new adventure activity, and is now the UK’s fastest growing adventure sport.  This company have all bases covered, especially in regards safety, and are accredited by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority)

Sailing
If an afternoons sailing is something that you would like to try, then we can arrange something to suit everybody.  The company is based out of the Falmouth estuary, which is a short 25 minute drive from Five Elements

Paddle boarding & Kitesurfing
Based in Mount’s Bay in Western Cornwall (approx. 40 min drive from Five Elements), we can also offer Paddle boarding as well as sea kayaking and kitesurfing. Stand-Up Paddle boarding (SUP) is one of the world’s fastest growing water sports, and is now going mainstream in the UK.  We can offer day courses, whereby the basics can be learnt by pretty much anybody within a couple of hours. It’s highly accessible, fun and social way to enjoy sea or inland waters. We also offer 1 day kitesurfing courses, and employ the very latest comms technology from teacher to student via the helmet.

So much more than just surfing on our surf yoga retreat Cornwall!
