Hiking Yoga Holidays French Alps 2020

Enjoy a week staying at our new chalet for your hiking yoga holiday in the vibrant ski town of Chamonix, French Alps

19th - 26th August 2020 Sorry sold out!

After the craziest 3 months, we are really excited to be able to go ahead with our hiking yoga holiday in the French Alps. With our extra safety measures in place and reduced numbers to only 7 this is going to be a glorious week of fresh mountain air, hikes, outdoor yoga, delicious vegan food and time out from everyday life.

We are based in Chamonix, near the climbing wall and a 10-minute scenic walk into Chamonix town where there is a relaxed mountain vibe with cafes, shops, restaurants, all nestled under the stunning vista of Mont Blanc and the amazing glacier. There are literally jaw-dropping views everywhere you look.

There is something for everyone in this action sports town, with the highest lifts in Europe enjoy hiking at altitude and swimming in crystal blue glacial lakes up high. An exciting week of adventure activities during the day beginning with yoga and then a choice of hiking, white water rafting, paragliding, wild swimming, climbing, biking or try out the tourist spots like the funicular train up to the glacier or relax outside at the Olympic size pool. There is something for everyone.

The hiking yoga experience is unrivalled here. After touring around the French Alps, we love hiking in this area. With so many routes to choose from and breathtaking views, you won’t want to go home! There’s nothing like a hiking yoga holiday to exhilarate and enliven body and mind.

After stretching your hiking limbs, soothe them with a sauna and hot tub, or treat yourself to a massage. We have been running our hiking yoga holidays French Alps since 2008 and have worked out the perfect formula for your active relaxation.

Beautiful France

We run skiing and yoga holidays in the winter and hiking yoga holidays in the summer in this beautiful region of the Savoie in France.  Based in Chamonix, it is one of the larger towns in the French Alps and so there is a lot you can do besides ski in winter or hike in summer.

Read more Down Arrow

In summer it has very relaxing energy and a slow pace even though it has a higher number of visitors, but because the summer visitors are climbers they are up in the mountains, meaning the town has a sleepy pace. There are many types of activities that you can enjoy as well as hiking. We are next to the climbing wall and a lake and walking into town takes 10 minutes.

In winter, it is more vibrant and the town is alive at night because skiers only go up the mountain in the daytime.

Daily Schedule

7.30am: Wake up with hot water and lemon.
8.00-9.30am: Morning yoga practice.
9.30am: Brunch served.
10.30am-5pm: Time for activities – Walking, hiking, climbing or just relaxing in the chalet. Massage and other holistic treatments on offer.
6pm-7.30pm: Evening yoga practice.
7.45pm: Dinner.

There are a choice of activities on offer for your pleasure:

  • Hiking
2 daytime hikes with packed lunch are included in the price
  • Rafting
Whitewater rafting takes place daily and trips are easily arranged. The standard route takes in two grade 4 rapids and two grade 3 rapids
  • Hydrospeeding
Hydrospeeding is available for the adrenaline junkies
  • Parapente
(Also known as paragliding) is possible here with the most stunning views of the mountains.
  • Mountain biking
It’s a mountain biker’s paradise in the local area, with a lift system operating in the summer. You can get the ski lift up and have lots of down-hill adventures. Bike hire can be arranged.
  • Climbing
The climbing wall is situated right next tour chalet, so whatever level you are you can enjoy learning or developing your sport. We can arrange lessons for you.
  • Relaxing massage
On the days off from adventure, to relax and soothe with our massage therapists
  • Guide your own hikes
The hiking trails around Chamonix are accessible and the hiking maps are excellent. So plan a hike, choose the level and off you go! They can last for as little as 2 hours or up to 6 hours, it’s up to you.

If you’ve not visited the French Alps in the summertime, you’re in for a treat. As the winter snow melts away in the spring, the mountains take on their summer mantle of bright green grass and colourful alpine flowers. The views are equally as spectacular in the summer as they are in the winter.

After a long walk, reward yourself with a swim to cool off in a refreshing glacial lake. There are so many hikes to choose from, at blue, red or black levels. Enjoy views of Mont Blanc. If you feel like a day off from walking why not try paragliding, hiring electric bikes, going to the spa, wander around Chamonix and enjoy a leisurely lunch in the sunshine with a good book.
