Central Europe skiing and yoga holiday in Jasna, Slovakia. We have now sold out so if you would like to join us please email.
After running our yoga ski holidays for 14 years, we have decided to bring you new and exciting ski destinations. New for 2020 our skiing yoga holiday Jasna, Slovakia! After much research, we chose the ski area Jasna in the Low Tatra mountain range, as it is one of the largest ski areas in Central Europe, comparable to Courmayeur in Italy in size, and it boasts 28 lifts with 49km of pistes. €160 million investment has gone into Jasna ski area in the last few years with fast and modern lifts, better than some French resort counterparts!
Jasna ski resort is popular with beginners, intermediates and off-piste aficionados. The off-piste is easy to get to and fun to have a go. With friendly restaurants on the mountain where coffee is €1 it is a ski area that won’t break the bank.
Enjoy a morning yoga class to energise and warm the body in the morning and a restorative yoga class in the evening, followed by a spa in the wellness area at the hotel, each evening if you like. The Slovakians love their wellness spas and each hotel has its own, so relax in the hot tubs, enjoy 4 different kinds of saunas and have a massage.
We are staying in a wellness spa hotel because there are as yet no chalet holiday options like there are in the French Alps and beyond. It is a new up and coming ski area, so try it out before the crowds!
Your breakfasts and five 2 course evening meals are included in the price so that you have two evenings to explore the local town and its restaurants.
We have put together a package that is as cost-effective as possible, that still offers excellent skiing, yoga, accommodation and food.
Ski lessons with the local ski school are from €99 for 4 days – have a look here for more info.
Ski passes are found at GoPass and the sooner you purchase them the cheaper they are. They are €155 January 2020.

Men & Women
The ski resort Jasna is located in the Region of Liptov – northern Slovakia, a few kilometres from the Polish border. The ski resort full name is Jasná Nízke Tatry – Chopok and is located in the Low Tatras. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 943 and 2,004 m.
The main town is Liptovský Mikuláš which is only 5 minutes in the car and has good transport connections with the capital Bratislava in the west and Košice in the east.
In the thickly forested slopes of the Low Tatras mountains, Jasná is Slovakia’s number one ski resort. Travel guides often label the region under eastern Europe, however, locals prefer to think of themselves as central Europe, having long since shaken off the iron curtain. In 2012/13 season the northern and southern sides of the ski resort were connected by modern gondola lifts and €160m was spent developing the lift system infrastructure and snowmaking.
This picturesque peak won’t challenge the glaciers of France and Austria for altitude, but winters here are cold and the tree-lined runs are among the most scenic in Europe – the views over the wooded Tatras are a constant reminder that you’re not in France.
With plenty of gentler slopes, beginners are well-catered-for; experienced skiers and snowboarders can make for one of 12 off-piste “freeride zones”, which offer challenging natural terrain with fantastic tree runs. Stick within the resort boundaries and you will always come back to a lift line or track. Unlike in the Alps, moreover, there are fresh powder lines to be had long after a snowfall. In no small part, the infrastructure investment has lead to the area becoming a leading ski destination in Slovakia and it is also gaining recognition within Europe.
Your skiing yoga holiday Jasna, Slovakia starts when you get on the plane. Meet your transfer and arrive in time for a welcome meeting and dinner at 8pm. Yoga will be from 7am – 8am each morning to energise and then again from 6pm – 7.15pm and dinner will be at 7.45pm. Your last day of yoga will be the Tuesday evening.
The ski shuttle bus will leave at 8.45am and pick you up at 4pm so that you have time to enjoy the spa each afternoon before your yoga class at 6pm.
We can help arrange ski lessons or any extra ski guiding for you prior to the holiday so that you will know what your personal schedule will be.
Departure on Wednesday 11th will be 5pm so you have the opportunity to ski again or simply relax and explore the area.
