Yoga surf retreats and holidays outline
Start the day with a silent walk to the beach, followed by a 1.5 hour yoga session to energise, wake up and warm the body ready for an afternoon in the waves. A wholesome hearty brunch to energise the body and then it’s down to the beach for lessons, or hiring a board and going solo. At lunchtime top up energy levels with a snack and relax in the sunshine. Head back to the yoga retreat for massage, hot baths and the evening yoga class. Having built up an appetite, enjoy a 3 course wholesome veggie supper and chill out by the open fire or enjoy the sunset.
These yoga surf holidays are either for surfers who want to get into yoga or for yogis who want to learn to surf or for anybody (also beginners in both) that believe in this great combination of yoga and surfing. Allow the yoga practice to enhance your balance, concentration and flexibility to help you get up and stay up on your surf board. We at AdventureYogi know what to do to enhance performance, prevent injury and leave you feeling calmer, more relaxed and more focused on your favourite sport.

The classes are suitable for all abilities, from beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Everyone is welcome. The classes are modified for the surfers needs, so stretching out the legs and strengthening the core, balance and concentration. We have a range of very experienced teachers who are the best of the best and are well practiced at adapting the class for everyone’s level. Whether it be Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Yin or others, all classes cover pranayama, asanas and meditation to help increase oxygen flow, balance, clarity and a peaceful mind. Morning sessions are a more dynamic practice and the evening sessions are gentle with lots of stretches, meditation and relaxation.
Our food is as important as our yoga. We bring our own chefs with us to the retreats to create fresh, healthy, vegetarian dishes to nourish you. They come up with the most innovative dishes which are truly impressive and leave you feeling content and full of beans for all your activities. On longer haul surf yoga holidays, enjoy the local cuisine from local chefs with expertise in their national dishes.
Massage/ Holistic Treatments
Our own highly experienced therapists are on hand to soothe away your aches and pains after using new muscles on the waves. Choose from an array of wonderful different massages, facials, reiki, reflexology and acupuncture depending on your retreat and therapists available. Half an hour treatment of your choice is included in the price but you are welcome to extend your treatment at an extra cost.
Our venues are selected with the utmost care to ensure you have a perfect stay, in tranquil and picturesque surroundings, with maximum comfort and relaxation in mind. We currently offer SurfYogi in Cornwall and Sri Lanka.
