“The combination of a mindful yoga practice, Wenche’s energy and instruction, being in the middle of nature and lots of time in the sun and ocean really made this the ideal combination for my mind, body and soul.”

Escape the cold: Winter sun yoga holiday in Sri Lanka

If the cold winters and shorter nights are too much to bear, break it up and enjoy a winter sun yoga holiday by the ocean in beautiful Sri Lanka. We are really excited about spending 10 days and 9 nights on this beautiful Island.

Yoga holiday Sri Lanka

The location is on the south west coast of Sri Lanka, an idyllic destination with stunning beaches, surf, diving and endless adventures. Staying close to the beach of Bentota, a long and wide sandy beach with rolling waves lapping the shore and palm trees framing the beach, relax in the sun and enjoy a swim or if you feel like a lazy day, stay by the infinity pool in the pavilion gardens of our accommodation. Enjoy 2 yoga classes a day, bicycles to get around, excursions to the surrounding area or just chill and take in the beauty of your surroundings.

Our beautiful Gold Buddha accommodation was formerly the colonial residence of Bentota’s ayurvedic doctor before being transformed into a beautiful 6 bedroom boutique hotel. It is a grand 150 years old restored Dutch Colonial Villa. The property is set in 4 acres of lush garden that teams with wildlife, birds and plants selected originally for their medicinal properties. The garden also houses a beautiful fresh water infinity pool and stunning pavilion where meals are taken. It is located on the west coast of Sri Lanka, 1.5 hours from the airport and just 15 minutes from the wide sandy beaches of Bentota which is a beautiful beach and has been voted one of the top 10 beaches of the world and there is the option to surf here also. Yoga will take place in the pavilion gardens in the morning and evening.

I have fallen in Love with Sri Lanka...
BeachYogi Sri Lanka review
Date Published: 10/22/2014
I have fallen in Love with Sri Lanka and can not pick one single fault in the accommodation; it was 5 star in every single way. I was in my element with the food – curry for breakfast! It all exceeded my expectations… the food, the rooms, the yoga, and the little touches like the flowers on the sun beds and the bell on the gate made it very special.
