We have returned to the West country for our Easter yoga retreat Cornwall and we are so excited to share this adventure with you! We have relocated to the beautiful area of St Agnes for our Cornwall yoga retreats, where you can relax and take in the stunning countryside.  This area is known for its outstanding natural beauty and from the TV series Poldark, so imagine a dramatic coastline with crashing waves and stunning beaches.

Our Easter yoga retreat Cornwall is very popular. After a 30 minute silent meditation walk and a 2 hour morning practice you can enjoy relaxing at our gorgeous pad, soothe achy limbs in the outdoor hot tubs (yes we have two!), or venture out to the coastal walks or try something a little more adventurous; Surfing, coasteering, paddleboarding, kayaking to name a few of the activities we have on offer. About the yoga

Morning Class
Our 2 hour morning classes are designed to help you unwind and let go of the sluggishness from a heavy winter. Feel into your body by slowing down and start to nourish it as you learn what it needs to feel more energised and revived again.

Evening Class
After your day surfing, exploring, walking, surfing, kayaking or relaxing at the beach, return to the shala to unwind and relax tired bodies with a restorative evening yoga class. This gentle 2 hour yoga class will vary each evening and include pranayama and meditation to help mind and body really let go and allow you to enter a state of deep relaxation.

Your chef for this Cornwall easter yoga retreat is Joki. Here is what she says about her food.

“It is wonderful to first do yoga and then eat a meal that is pure, organic and packed with nutrients. It is like a double dose of wellness. For me, food at yoga retreats is very important, the menu is designated to nourish your body and mind during asana and meditation practice! By creating tasty, vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free foods that relaxes the mind and touches the soul is a beautiful way to introduce participants to a new, healthy way of eating, that leaves them energised, full and satisfied. My food is light, easy to digest, fresh, freshly made, contain enzymes, full of fiber, whole grains and good bacteria. The way I see it, food is healing, food is energy, food is medicine, food is fun.”

Examples of Joki’s menu:

Breakfast:
-Quinoa and millet healing porridge topped with mix berries, apple and chia seed compote.
-Spinach,mushrooms and miso vegan scrambled eggs with wild rocket
-vegan “ bacon” ..( baked marinated eggplants)
-Roast veggies egg frittata..
Lunch:
-Detox sweet potato soup gf, vg, sf
Vietnamese spring rolls with peanut sauce of homemade sweet chilli sauce,
-Kale, rocket, quinoa, cherry tomatoes, spinach salad with green tahini dressing
Dinner:
– Creamy buckwheat beetroot and spinach risotto ( vg, gf, sf)
– bowl of steam greens with sesame and dukka,
-Roast smokey cauliflower, fennel, white bean and sun dried tomatoes salad.. with zesty herb dressing
-Hazelnut and chocolate mousse cake!!

Joki Mihovilcevic

Joki grew up on a little island in Croatia, Hvar in a family of herbalist and healers. From an early age, she understood the importance of healthy, organic, fresh, clean food. "Food as energy and food as medicine" is the motto she grew up with.

Suitability

This Easter Yoga retreat Cornwall is suitable for anyone who is a complete novice or is an expert. If you prefer not to get in the water that is ok, this is also suited to people who prefer dry land and wish to enjoy the scenery. It's also suitable for all ages, shapes, and sizes.

Itinerary

The retreat on the 10th April starts from 4pm with the first yoga class at 6pm. The retreat follows the schedule below. It finishes at 11am on Monday 13th. You can stay the whole week. The Mid week retreat starts from 4pm on Monday 13th April and finishes at 11am on Friday 17th April.
