We have been running our UK yoga retreats since 2007 and we want to offer our regular yogi’s (and those who already have a regular practise) a chance to progress and grow with us in their yoga and spiritual practice. We are proud to be introducing you to our Intermediate and yoga retreats.
Firstly, let’s get things straight – You don’t have to be ‘Miss bendy’ or ‘Mr pretzel’, but you will benefit from these yoga weekends if you have a regular practice or have been practising yoga on and off for a while and have a grasp of it. Our teachers on these yoga retreats are very experienced and will teach a higher level of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and yoga philosophy and they will support you in going deeper into your practice with their guidance.
On each retreat you will all be given the chance to chat to the yoga teacher about what you would like to get out of the weekend so that the teacher is fully aware of your needs. Over the retreat we will offer you space to explore your meditation practice and immerse yourself in the more ‘still’ side of yoga – both physically and mentally. The teacher will follow a theme for the retreat and there will also be a yoga philosophy topic on the Saturday evening after dinner.
Allow yourself this total immersion time and come to it with a softness and playfulness too! We maintain our ethos of fun and adventure of the spirit in a relaxed way, and by deepening your yoga practice you are tuning into what you need, to give yourself the best support to a busy and sometimes stressful life.
7.30am: Hot lemon and ginger and protein snacks before yoga.
8am: Silent meditation walk in the tranquil surrounding countryside.
8:30am – 10.30am: Morning yoga and meditation class.
10.30am: Wholesome yogic breakfast.
11am – 1pm: Your own time to reflect and treatment time.
1pm – 3pm: There will be a workshop that will be fun, playful and insightful on Saturday. On Sunday a refreshing walk around Bewl Lake.
3pm: Healthy afternoon light lunch.
3.30pm – 5.30pm: More treatments or free time.
5.30pm – 7.30pm: Evening yoga and meditation class.
7.30pm: Healthy vegetarian supper.
Start and finish times of the retreat
The retreat starts at 5pm on the Friday so please don’t arrive before as we won’t be ready for you. The retreat ends at 12pm after the usual morning schedule as above.
Crow and Ewe cottage has 2 twin rooms, one with en-suite and shower and the other with a separate bathroom with bath. They both have a spacious living room and kitchen.
The Calf Shed cottage has en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a shower and bath. Both rooms can be a twin or a double.
How to get there
From London get onto the M25 and then exit onto the A21. It is then about 30 minutes drive from the M25. Once you have booked your place with us we will give you the exact address and postcode.
There are trains that run every hour from London Charing Cross, Cannon Street & Waterloo East and they take 1 hr and 10 minutes.

We believe that our retreats should be nurturing in every way. So our Vitality Chefs will create tasty, healthy, vegetarian meals for you from local, seasonal produce.
All of our food is gently detoxing and we cater to various dietary preferences. Our guests are always impressed by our creative, flavoursome dishes — that’s because the food is just as important to us as the yoga.

Things to do
Included in the price there is an additional yoga workshop on Saturday afternoon on yoga, meditation, pranayama or yoga philosophy.
On Sunday enjoy some fresh air and take a walk with us around Bewl Lake, the largest lake in the South East.

Our own highly experienced therapists are on hand to soothe away your aches and pains. Choose from an array of wonderful different massages, facials and Reiki depending on your retreat and therapists available.

The retreat is best for those who have done yoga before, know the postures (asanas) and want to be on a retreat where they can progress instead of having mixed ability. Our yoga teachers have all been teaching for a considerable time and will be able to develop your practice with you. Although it is an intermediate retreat we still maintain our relaxed and friendly atmosphere and playfulness.
