New for 2017 we are really excited to announce that we are taking on our gorgeous East Sussex venue for the whole of March, November, for half of July and a scattering of weekends throughout the year. We would love to share it with you.

Our wellbeing and yoga retreats are just one type of retreat we will be holding at the Sussex retreat. Come and unwind, switch off and let go on our wellbeing and yoga retreats. You have chosen our wellbeing retreats to offer yourself just that – some wellbeing. It is time to nourish every cell in your body and mind. Allow the retreat venue to hold you, a safe space to start to unwind. Let the food nourish your being, gently cleansing you from the inside by removing the daily excess of toxins it is all too easy to consume when we are on the move. Allow the yoga from our team of expert yoga teachers help you connect to your inner and most true being to show you where you are at this moment.

We offer an afternoon walk on the Saturday and Sunday is a time for you to rest and rejuvenate. In winter curl up in the cosy living spaces with a good book and in spring and summer, we have an outdoor heated pool to 30 degrees with uninterrupted views of the High Weald. Enjoy a massage from one of our expert in-house therapists or just take the time to rest and just be.

We have been running our wellbeing yoga retreats since 2008 so let our teams of highly trained chefs and teachers lead you to pure relaxation and contentment.


Typical day

8am-8.25am – Silent walk in the tranquil surrounding countryside.

8:40am-10:40am – Morning yoga and meditation class.

10.40am – Healthy nutritious veggie Brunch.

11:30am -1pm – Massage & free time: read, explore, enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

1pm – 3pm –  Guided country walk.

3.15pm – Healthy light lunch.

3:30pm – 5.30pm – More treatments to pamper yourself or free time.

5.30pm – 7.30pm – Evening yoga and meditation class.

7.45pm – Delicious vegetarian 2-course wholesome dinner.

The yoga retreat starts from 4 pm on Friday, with the first yoga class starting at 6 pm. For 2-night yoga retreats, we finish at 3 pm on Sunday, after a light lunch and closing ceremony to send you on your way. For 3-night yoga retreats, we finish at 12 pm on the Monday after the usual morning schedule until after breakfast.


We have a choice of 4 cottages, 3 of them are attached and 1 is set apart.  They have exposed oak beams and large galleried landings that overlook the ground floor of the cottages with uninterrupted views of the High Weald rolling countryside. All have a spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, and 2 rooms.  One is a double and one is a twin.  Both rooms share a family bathroom.

Accommodation Options

Crow and ewe cottage has 2 twin rooms, one with en-suite and shower and the other with a separate bathroom with bath. They both have a spacious living room and kitchen.

The calf shed cottage has beautiful en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a shower and bath. Both rooms can be a twin or a double.

The prices are based on 2 people sharing a room. If you are coming on your own you are welcome to share a twin room with another guest of the same sex, or if you would prefer a room to yourself there is a 40% single supplement.

Massage / Holistic Treatments

Our own highly experienced therapists are on hand to soothe away your aches and pains. Choose from an array of wonderful different massages, facials, reiki, reflexology and acupuncture depending on your retreat and therapists available. Prices: £38 30 minutes and £65 for 1 hour.

Things to do

The main focus on our Well-being retreats are to relax, switch off and slow down. Do this by relaxing in the hot tub and between May and October enjoy swimming in our outdoor heated pool to 30 degrees. On all our wellbeing retreats we offer an energising afternoon walk at Bewl Water which is the largest lake in the South East.

How to get there

By Car:

From London get onto the M25 and then exit onto the A21. It is then about 30 minutes drive from the M25. Once you have booked your place with us we will give you the exact address and postcode.


There are trains that run every hour from London Charing Cross, Cannon Street & Waterloo East and they take 1 hr and 10 minutes.

Please catch the recommended train times below and we will organise a taxi share for you.

  • 2 nights cosy cottage accommodation in the rural tranquillity surrounded by beautiful East Sussex countryside with views of the Wealden valley.

  • 2 daily guided silent morning walk to the sunrise to wake up peacefully and slowly.
