November: Charity Fundraiser – JanvisYoga – Yoga for Autism

Janvis Yoga signThis November, we have decided to dedicate all of the profits for our Pop-upYogi supper club to a charity we believe is going to help lots of autistic children around the London area.  Their parents have a very difficult job on their hands and many parents have discovered how yoga therapy can really help their children become calm, engage socially better and feel a sense of belonging.  This increases their quality of life, which also has a knock on affect to the families who dedicate their lives to these children.  JanvisYoga is a charity set up by a mother with an autistic daughter who discovered the benefit of yoga.  We are helping to raise money to help fund a mobile yoga bus to go direct to these families and also to help build support groups.  For more info go to our blog here and hear about Rina and Janvi’s story.

What is Pop-upYogi?

After running a yoga retreat, the hardest part of the weekend is saying goodbye to all of our new friends. We laugh together, cry together, stretch together and journey deeply together. Then it’s all over!  So we have come up with a solution, to spend 1 night every other month together in an urban “mini yoga retreat”.  This is a chance to connect with the growing AY community of old faces, but it is also an opportunity for those of you who have never been on one of our yoga weekends to come and experience the yoga, the food, the ethos and the atmosphere of that which is AdventureYogi! Return home feeling stretched, energised and refreshed.

What’s included in the evening “mini yoga retreat”

The idea of the Pop-upYogi is to give you a taster of what you would experience on our yoga retreat weekends.  Your yoga class is held by one of our yoga teachers, all of whom have over 4 years of teaching experience up to 15 years experience. After the class, the yoga room magically turns into a dining area, a relaxed atmosphere lit with candles and enjoy a 2 course AdventureYogi style supper.
